Great composition. Nice contrast in the sky. Color and lighting definitely give the picture a brooding mood. I would rotate it ccw just a little to straighten it.

Nice cloud definition and reflections, with good clarity to the foreground water. There is a nice contrast of colours, the warm tones of the pier standing out well against the cooler water. I think I may have been tempted to make the pier a more dominant element by either getting closer to it, or maybe even on it, and then composing it as a central feature. Though I must say that your chosen perspective does serve to convey a great mood of peace and tranqulity before the storm. Nice work Hamid!

Best Regards

Alf

The reflection of the clouds enhances the beauty of this landscape. I like the placement of the pier however, other pov may also provide  different interpretation to the scene. The serenity of the water and the ominous clouds work well here.

Great image, Hamid. Regards!

I greatly appreciate your nice comments and suggestions.

Alf, actully a i took so many shots here at different angles and compositions, one of them previously published:

and here i noticed amazing cloud formations with their reflections putting x-like diagonal lines in frame and i used the pier as one part of lines. I think it works.. Thanks again for sharing your always beneficial thoughts.

Niki, congratulations for that golden award beside your name; it really shines ;-)

My best regards.

Hamid.

Hamid, In looking at this a few days ago, I had notice the line of the dark cloud from the upper left counter-balancing the line of the pier. This time after reading your comment I became aware of the reflection of the cloud in the water acting as the three parts of an X. I also like the shallow water of the foreground allowing us to see the pebbles and the way the reflection of the clouds gradually becomes more opaque as we move further into the image.

Very well set exposure. You framed those heavy clouds along with that reflection & FG elements nicely but one thing I am in doubt! Why did you keep that horizon line at dead centre!

My best regards.

Thank you friends for your nice comments and encouragements. Much appreciated.

Kallol, Thanks for your attention and question. As i said, in certain circumstances, like here, breaking the rules is actually inevitable to reach special compositions and purposes. I tried so many arrangements of elements in the scene to reach the best results, and eventually satisfied by this one... Thanks again.

My best wishes,

Hamid.

I am sorry I have not visited for awhile it seems Hamid, busy with 'family' things, but life is slowing down a bit.

This is a very lovely, soft and 'dream-like' quality image for me. Even though the sky seems threatening, it is quite a peaceful image and pleasing to the eye with the color combination here.

Nicely done Hamid!

My warmest regards, Gail

Hello Hamid,

A very enjoyable image. I like the fact I can see under the water in the foreground and that leads my eyes into the image. A great gray sky, enough reflectiveness in the water and the peir extending out into the water complete the picture. Well done as always my friend. Take care.

BR,

Holger
