Gail, I'm not sure how you did the fading color in this, and I'm not sure how I feel about it. Though I like the lightness of the color in the center and softness of the flower in contrast to the more richly detailed and color of the bee. Also I like the perspective from above. I'll have to visit this again and have another look.

Great image Gail,

I like the selective color concentrated in the center with fade out to grey tones at the periphery. Nicely done!

Hi Gail,

Good capture.

However, you know what I am going to say.............see my other review.

Remember, you spent a fair amount of money for that Canon macro. It is good to get your money's worth.

Best Regards,  Mike

Thankyou for sharing your thoughts Mike, I do appreciate your input. I do want to get the best results from the Macro.  ( I was fortunate though, the Macro came in a  'package deal' that my cousin won, he had hoped to win a computer, but won the Camera and lenses instead. I couldn't afford to buy it all from him, so I traded him for some Limited Edition prints we had). Fortunately for me it is the only way I finally got a Camera where I could change lenses).

That does not negate the fact that I want to learn to use them to their best potential! Will keep on 'keepin on' hopefully better! I don't know if a tripod would help in a situation where the bees are flitting about and the wind is blowing also? Can you move a tripod around quickly,  while it is mounted? Something else to learn! Cheers,

Talk again soon, Gail

It is an 'effect' that is in Photoshop Elements called 'Color Fade Horizontal' and I applied it in error, but kind of liked it, so I left it! Have hardly ever used it before. Thanks so much for your visit and your input, truly appreciated.

Warm regards, Gail

This is an outstanding macro again and a superb addition to your latest macro series, once again my friend, the lighting is super and so the details are so fine, the two shared formats here, the b/w and colors has given this image a remarkable creative touch and well enhanced the appearance of this image, all of that good work you to this lovely image is of great credit to your well thought off composition.

Thank you my friend for sharing it and wishing you all of the best.
