I am glad my friend to be the first to add few words for this remarkably exposed image and its amazing details and original colors, I am always impressed with high quality of your lighting controls as it is here and the sort of composition which is well engineered to connect your work with the viewers.

Thank you my friend for sharing it and wishing you all of the best.

Great composition!  The uniformity of the tombstones (with fresh snow all around) set against the tangle of trees makes for a great contrast.

The eerie stillness prevailed, not a bird sang, not a leaf rustled, the silence hung heavy in the cold frosty air as the lost ones were remembered.

Just my thoughts that this image provokes.  Tastefully done Linda

Best Regards

Alf

I am so glad that I was able to capture the feeling I experienced while shooting this in minus 30 degrees Celsius  (-22 ºF) in Edmonton, Alberta, one of Canada’s most Northern cities. Thank you all for commenting. I always appreciate and enjoy your comments.

First of all, is the exposure date REALLY Sept. 9th?  I can't believe there has been that much snow already in Edmonton.  This has a rather dull look to it.....very appropriate for the subject matter.  The title you've given it is brilliant and further supports the image.  I do like that there is a little sparkle of light coming from places in the trees, which make a fantastic background for the image.  Very well done!

Patsy, thanks for stopping by.

Christal, I took this shot on a bitterly cold day in December 2010 and edited it in September 2011. The weather in Edmonton is usually good in September. Thanks for your nice comment.
