I'm very attracted to this image although, I do not find it attractive. The combination of the flesh, the hard concrete and the desiccated leaves, is very powerful. Nice job.

Thank a lot

Alon, the concept is thoughts stirring, thank for expressing it.

Dave, Really glad to see you again at my work. You are right it is not very "beautiful" but it is  the truth of our life on this earth....! ;-))

Photographically the image is very good and indeed the concept is disturbing. A bit too much to my taste because it has connotations that one can do without...

on the one hand, about decay; on the other hand, about replenishment; on either and both hands, a strong, highly imaginative, and effective image. it is a mystery, Pnina, per the blur, the activity with his/her hands, though we can imagine fairly accurately within the context you give us; and, the selective focus on the fg leaves seems most necessary to your conceptual meaning. i dig this quite a lot ;-} dp

Tibi, I understand your feelings but that is the course of life ,if we like it or not....thanks for your genuine answer of your impression.

Donna, thanks for your written impression. It is a man which is performing the series, and he holds a book in his hand, and for me it is like reading or writing the history of lif....

Tatjana, you are right it is there if we want to be reminded or not...Thanks as well for your feedback.

I wish I hadn't previous read the comments before leaving my own. It's always best to put down your own immediate impressions before they are influenced by the reactions of others. Having said that, I find this a powerful if disturbing picture, very much in line with your latest direction which, it seems to me, is angled more inward than outward, more darkly psychological than representational. Here we seem to have life reduced to its barest, meanest essentials, the protective armor of illusion stripped away until only the raw, vulnerable flesh remains

This is so eloquently worded! Much better than I would have worded it!

It is a new side to my work, I try to go deeper in different ways. This series has started when I started  to work a bit with that performer, which is a new way for me to explore... Thanks for your comments that I appreciate mach ! and I'm glad to see you active again!
