Please view this larger. Even though I had my camera gear, I

chose to only take my point and shoot to ease travel on public

transportation. After all, it's not the camera; it's the human eye,

right? I quickly noticed a hat in among the grasses and snapped.

I appreciate and look forward to your comments which mean much

more than ratings. Thanks in advance. Larry

........... thankyou for the pre-amble that compliments this image well.

The larger version shows a beautiful clarity across the total image. It is crisp with superb definition. Mother Nature at her best.

Well done.

Regards

Larry, these wee point and shoots are a real hoot, their quality is also going forward at a great rate. i also find this a lovely image to view especially in large version. the person just looks and feels like she is a part of the scenery. well seen and even better presentation, nice work!

I have both a DSLR and a point and shoot.  Point & shoots sure do take great photos as evidenced in this shot.  Nicely composed and sharp!

Thanks to all of you for your comments.  I too like the way the gardener is a natural element in the image.  Most often, it is the artistic simplicity in our images that make them worthy.  Thanks, again. Best regards.   Larry

There are times when the point and shoot is the only answer. You sure did a good job here. Very nice work Larry.

Linda,   Thanks for viewing this image.  I am leaning toward using the point and shoot more for travel where carrying my tripod and heavy camera bag is not practical - like on work trips where I have to lug other stuff.  There are a number of point and shoots out there now that offer RAW mode as well as the manual features of a DSLR.  The Panasonic Lumix LX5 has my eye right now.  I have to try one out.

Thanks, Linda.   Larry

What get my attention is a beautiful green, and the yellow hat, and clicked on the thumbnail. I'm glad I did. I like this image very much. Those different shades of greens and the gardener almost invisible, only the big hat. Perfect composition and mood the image has. It is very nice in big view, sharp all over.  Bravo.

Happy New Year.

Bela, Thanks.  This was a lucky shot that I got off with a point and shoot during our visit to Millennium Park in Chicago.  I value your comments.  Larry
