I'm sure we all sit once in awhile, and in our minds, we look back.

Look back at times we had, good times, the best times....long gazes

across a room at someone we were so in love with at the time. We

may not be with them now, but still, those moments, captured on

the 'film' that is our memory, they were 'fine moments'. Days when

we had so much fun, we thought no other day could replace 'that

day'. Candlelit dinners, where our hearts 'were full', our appetites

never 'sated', when each morsel of food enticed our imaginations,

and the one whose eyes refelected not only the candlelight, but our

young faces filled with longing. I speak not of casual, meaningless

evenings that quite often today are part of 'Many Friends With

Benefits'. I do not believe in this foolhardy and dangerous nonsense.

I speak of the times we remember when we can truly say "Wasn't it

fine....Wasn't it Good....". Whether those relationships ended good or

bad, in between there were so many good moments and they have

woven themselves into the 'fabric' of what we know as 'Love' now. So

many Summers, So many memories......we may be older now, but

we are far from 'dead' ---- yet. (thanks for visiting, most sincerely,

Gail)

Gail, this reminds me of an O'Keeffe exhibit I visited one lovely autumn afternoon in Chicago. Your text and art jogged a memory.  I love the vibrancy of the flower's colors, which simmer, slightly cooled and by the greens and soft yellow contextualizing backdrop.  I also love that the flower more than fills the space; it spills over, suggesting a need to enlarge this to fill a wall.  What a wonderful wall it would be!

I still say your 'word smithing' fascinates me. Your imagination 'spills forth' in each comment and I enjoy reading them so much.  Thankyou for your Kind comments and your references, fascinating. I think you have seen more of the world than I, but I 'see' through your comments.  Talks again soon,

Most sincerely, Gail

Beautiful range of colours , it would make a fine painting . Your title reminds me of the song from Cats ... I think it went on to say ' nothing is so good it lasts for ever . Very true where Flowers are concerned ! Bill

Beautiful flower shot. And what a marvelous title which reminds me of the song, "I know him so well" from the musical theater, "Chess" when Florence sang her portion of the song in the duet.

Oh, what a lovely song and what a lovely photo this is and your caption tells everything. 7/7 but can only rate 6.

Best regards, Gail

My deep appreciation for your continual interest and support Bill. I have never seen 'Cats' but I sure did want to. Actually the only plays I've really seen are 'The Merchant of Venice' in High School, 'Jesus Christ Superstar' and when I was in Rome my employer and his wife insisted I see an Opera, I think it was 'Tosca'??but then again I think it was something else. Very tragic, love story, didn't understand a word, but still moving'. But of course I was in Rome. What more need to be said.

Thankyou for your visit and kind critique Bill, kind regards, Gail
