I found Adam quietly looking out into the night during a 'lull' in the

crowd, and managed to capture this shot (layer). The layer in behind

was of one of the girl's tending to the ribs. I added the last layer, it is

part of the huge sign that goes over their 'RIG'........'The Good OL

Boys !!' who of course are the 'BOSS HOGS'. (I hope you enjoy this

image, thankyou for stopping by, sincerely, Gail)

Great textures and colours I'll bet those guys would love a copy of this! They could use it in ther advertising campaigns or maybe on thier web site.

"The Lone Ribber"  Kind of conjures up images of a masked man but instead of six guns he totes 2 silver meats cleavers in his holsters : - ) I wonder if he's got a sidekick named "pronto" that does the fast orders : - )

Nice work Gail, an artistic interpretation that has commercial possibilities!

Best Regards

Alf

Actually Alf, I surprised even myself and went down to the park the day before when they were setting up.  Young Adam in this shot was busy with the fellas setting up their Rig and I didn't even recognize him.  He was clean shaven, baseball cap....I had come with photos from last year to give to the crew. I asked him if the same people came every year, and he said yes, wondered who I was looking for. Well I mentioned the fella in the Straw Hat, 'well that would be me'....he cleans up 'real good' and was so polite.

He was delighted with the shots I had and called for Tina to come over, (she and her husband pretty well run the show, they have Crabby's, Adam works for but I think is in charge of the staff of Boss Hogs.) Tina was thrilled with the shots, and asked if I could do some other shots, in the evening and from a distance showing the huge signs above etc. I was going to go down on the Friday but instead went Saturday nite. I didn't want anything for the photos I gave them, their reaction made me feel so good, so she made sure I had a few free full rib dinners for my husband and I. But I ended up going alone on the Saturday. It did make it easier when taking shots.

They want to use them on their websites, don't know details yet but they come to a 'town near us' in a few weeks so I may meet up with them there. I also introduced myself to the Executive Director of our DBIA who represents the Downtown Businesses. His name is Paul Raino and was such a pleasant Gentleman. He wanted me to meet his assistant the next day, but in the crowd, I never did find her. I'll be emailing him.

I've emailed shots to the 'ribbers' but haven't had a chance to check my mail today.

This shot I really liked, Adam was always so busy, I have a few where he was chopping so fast his hands are blurry, (wrong speed, or I moved perhaps)...but it may work out.

I like your description for this one, as always you have such great ideas. I just remembered I hoped I sent your Email last nite, it may still be in draft form, good of you to get back to me. (you and your wife are in my thoughts re Toby....I'm pretty sure I told you about my first pup, so difficult).  I had thought of the 'knives' but they are pretty careful with them...and didn't want to 'scare' anyone!! cool idea though, thakyou Alf for your encouragement, Even if I've just made new friends, it was well worth it. Tina offered to pay me, but I approached them and wanted them to have the shots I had already done.

Talk again soon, Gail

I wish I still had some of the Ribs!!!!  I sure would send some but they'd have to be frozen and packed pretty well, you have a good imagination, I'm afraid you will have to stick with that. Thankyou for your interest and support, truly is appreciated.

Talk soon, Gail

I was actually having some problem with my lenses at first, I'm used to the 'beep', and it was so noisy, I couldn't hear it (that of course is something you probably don't even have on) but I eventually got things sorted out. I've become almost 'paranoid' with my lenses. I'll do more reading, and go over your email more. Just have not had much time to get to things.

Thankyou for your kind remarks, truly are appreciated and encouraging. My kindest regards, Gail

It would William. I haven't tried it with the 13 x 19 printer my Dad gave me yet, will have to get at it. Busy with 'life' stuff the last few days. Now I have to play 'catch up'.

All the best William, and thankyou so much for being such a good friend, hope all is well 'across the seas'............Gail
