The Colors Purple

Later yesterday evening, the breezes calmed down just long enough

for me to get a few captures. I never realized what a lovely aroma

the 'Bearded Iris' have, until this year when I have such an array of

them in my Garden. (thanks for dropping by, Gail)

This has hit home with me Gail, love it... great DOF may I add, and a very nice frame also, its very well done my friend....ps it was a grapevine from the hunter-valley nsw on my sun-rise image... thanks for your very kind comments to Gail...warm regards Grant.

Gail the DOF of this is lovely with the mottled purples/greens. The detail of the iris is really wonderful.

This is coloured beautifuly and the dof and softened background is the perfect canvas for this exquisite example. What is really intrigueing, is the soft / sharp focus that makes the image "swim" before my eyes.  A real winner! Very well done Gail ! ...........Wish they hadn't called it a "Bearded" Iris though, it just doesn't seem right that anything so beautiful should have a beard : - )
