pnital 36 Posted May 28, 2011 It is another portrait of Amit, ( reuploaded after some corrections) at the concert of Barrocade orchestra group, at the Tel Aviv museum of art. The Viola De Gamba he is palying on, has been reconstracted by him pursuant a drawing of the instrument from the Baroque era.!A real pleasure listening to the concert of that group. Thanks for viewing. Link to comment
kombizz 15 Posted May 28, 2011 This is better than the previous image as you cropped that darker box on the top right corner Link to comment
gunnar1664882369 1 Posted May 28, 2011 A strong portrait of musician. On face and fingers an excellent light with very interesting concentration to the main subject. Link to comment

3m 0 Posted May 31, 2011 This is a lovely portrait of Amit indeed, Pnina. I too like the dedicated expression of the musician, as well as the warm & the subdued colors against the plain BG. Kind regards to you, Marjolein (P.S: I wonder what a slight crop on the L side, and top of the photo would look like..?) Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted May 31, 2011 It is very much appreciated as Amit is a very dedicated musician, aside from being a Baroque instrument builder.Gord, nice to see you back!Marjolein, I wanted to give Amit a lot of "air" around, but I always try suggestions, and yours I think is worth trying ! and I think it is another good possibility,So here it is..;-))Thanks Link to comment
3m 0 Posted June 2, 2011 Pnina, I personally would have cropped even a tiny bit more:-) I understand that you want to keep space surrounding Amit, and it's true, it makes him stand out better. However, by the slightly off-center positioning of Amit & his viola di gamba, I like the composition of the photo better... Again, very nice work, Pnina! Have a good WE, Marjolein Link to comment
mazevedo 0 Posted June 2, 2011 Well done Pnina. Both versions work well, though I prefer the 1st one. Take care, Mário Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted June 2, 2011 Thanks for following up.I think you are right about L off center, still somehow I felt it needs a lot of " air", maybe because it is his music that I felt needed more central positioning....anyway thanks for your comment which is a good one ! Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted June 2, 2011 I missed your comment while writing to Marjolein, glad to see you again , and thanks for writing your impression. I hope all is well !. Link to comment
trisha jean-angela 5 Posted June 2, 2011 I love his expression; so intent and concentrated. Just looking at this photo brings me many happy memories of watching and hearing my own kids perform with their orchestras. Lovely light. I hope he hangs this one on his wall. Thank you for sharing. :) Link to comment
celasun 0 Posted June 2, 2011 I like your "Musicians". This is at least as memorable as the earlier "The Violinist".Dedicated musicians photographed by knowing hands...Here, he does look like an authority. The uncluttered background makes him stand out nicely. As another friend mentioned above, this is a photo he can proudly display in his living space. Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted June 2, 2011 The wrinkles in his face communicate a history of intense concentration. His eyes are softer. I like the light on his hand. Link to comment
