Guest Guest Posted May 22, 2011 you have it captured! all the elements are there and for sure the rate average or bell curve is maintained... but again with this one how many 3's did you end up getting... MJ you know and I know where they come from... Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted May 22, 2011 I picture paints a thousand words, and in this case it is very poignant words too. MJ mentions that "you and I know where they come from" I wish to hell I did I'd hire a hit man : - )The ratings arguement / debate has reigned for ........well long before I became a member, and will probably go on indefinately untill a fairer system is devised. The anonymous ratings are useless.........I mean really what is achieved by rating an image low, and leaving no explanation? I became so disillusioned with it I simply won't put my images up for ratings, and instead choose to ask for "critique only" that way if people don't like the image, or think theres room for improvement, they have to say so, and usually I get to learn something in the process.I think the guy at the keyboard looks like the devil, and that old phrase "Idle hands make the devils work" springs to mind.I have rated this image 7 because it says it all and keeps the debate alive! I hope it gets a few more.Best RegardsAlf Link to comment

kaushikphotography 0 Posted May 23, 2011 After this nobody will expect higher ratings any more. A classic thinking and executions. The hole concept is amazing. Just awesome. Thanks for sharing. All the best to you. Warm Regards. Link to comment

engela 0 Posted May 28, 2011 This image certainly drew a lot of attention.Yes, the rating system is not working perfectly and I have also wondered where I can hire that hitman to do some work on my continuous 3 rater, who seems to have been very active on my images lately...I liked it more when I could see how many 5's, 6's and 7's I received and I tried very hard to ignore the 3's. When an image is not to my liking, I simply don't rate it, and I try not to be to critical on images that are posted in the same category that I posted an image to, because it would be unfair. This is an excellent image, not only because of tones, composition and lighting, but also because of the message it brings, and that is why I rate it 7.Great work. Regards, Engela Link to comment

Anabela Sequeira 0 Posted May 29, 2011 Kaushik, Keith, Maurizio, George, Hamid, El, Engela and Jorge, thank you all very much for your strong support. Very encouraging indeed! I also would like to apologies to all those who didn't enjoy this image since that was clearly expressed in their given rates. Patrick Desmet, I am sorry for upsetting you with such a very bad work! Again, thank you for letting me know your thoughts on this one, Anabela Link to comment
