Thanks for viewing/comments! I was talking to a lady who was shooting

Hummers next to me in Irvine and she kept staring through me. Looking

back, I can see a bird hover, got my lens up I can see that it's white

tailed kite. I ran, I ran and finally see that he had gotten a mouse and

ready to give it to her. Wish I had my 1.4X TC on since this shot is

fullsize crop and the quality is .. so so at best! Taken in Irvine, California!

Thanks Frank! Always wanted this type of shot (after seeing some 'masters' posted,  and I've been drooling since ...,LOL) and this one is not the one I want but it's a start. I feel so lucky today. The lady who was talking to me also grabbed her 400/F2.8 + 2X TC and ran but she was too late with all that tripod stuff. I shot this handheld, btw.

........... Great story, great capture. Now I'm starting to drool.

Well done and I'm pleased with your success.

I watch  this image again and again... so beautiful, no wonder you take off like a rocket . Love your images of the birds . Hope to see you next week in Irvine so you can show me where their nest is. LOL.

Thanks Emmanuel!

Thanks Kombizz!

Thanks Lisa Nguyen! Thank you for pointing out the Kite while we were talking. Since I've shot this bird before, I had to run (sorry) because I know their behaviour well when the bird hover as such he would get a mouse and then do the food transfer in mid-air. From my observation White-tailed Kite seems to be very good hunter (rarely fail to get food in a short period of time), btw.

This is a great action picture !

Maybe by manipulating the blue sky you might make it even more dramatic.

If you say this is a start, I surely want to see the rest.
