This is truly magical. Magnificent effect and the composition in gray scale. Compact when viewed in large. Like it. All the best. Warm regards.

Superb B & W image with great range of grey tones. I really like the silhouettes of the fishermen with the shimmering water behind them.

Very well done Lester!

Best Regards

Lester, I agree with everyone that this is a great image with it's beautiful tones and light. I particularly like the silhouette's of the men  and the lines of the pole and the net.

TO ALL MY FRIENDS: Azure, Ilkka, Kaushik, Museeb, Kallol, Ricardo, Alf, Pedro, Tony and Luis,

Thank you all for your inspiring comments. I appreciate them greatly.

Luis, attached is the original nef file (reduced). What I did was to meter the highlights in the water which read as 1/2000 sec ISO 200 using the 75-200 Leica R Vario-Elmar mounted on my D300. I guess my opening was f5.6 not deep enough but gave a good effect on the mountain. So everything darker than the highlights particularly the fishermen got under-exposed giving an almost silhouette effect. Thanks for your interest.

Lester, I think B&W was a great choice for this photo, and the exposure is right on.  Nicely done.

Without hesitation I do prefer the BW version, the atmosphere outcrops strongly with a silent delicate feeling. Extraordinary. To my Favorite Folder.
