The long diagonal shadows in conjunction with the stark uprights of the winter trees and the processing makes for quite a dramatic image.

Very well done!

John...  Moody, mysterious and only a tad ominous.  Makes me want to see what's around the bend.  Good one!... Mike

Alf,  I've finally gotten to a place that I'm willing to sit down and begin to learn PS.  I'm going through all the PS excesses that I'm sure most people go through at this stage of learning...but at the time I shot this picture...I wanted a bit of drama...but minus the excess.  Glad you like the outcome.  Thank you...John

Michael, I could tell you what's around the bend, but ... I wouldn't have to kill you, because you'd die from boredom if you could see!  Thanks for the visit, Michael!

LOL... the human imagination is almost always more exciting than reality.  The excellence of this shot is that it sparks that imagination... Mike

Marta Eva...So what has made me think all this time that you live in Spain?   I'm totally confused!

I'll tell my wife you said hello...but I'll let her continue to think you live in Canada...or else, Canada would be off limits as well as Portugal and Spain!   Whatever you're doing there...Canada is better than Spain.  I can drive to Canada...I can't drive to Spain...

Hugs to you as well,

John

thanks, Raymond!  this photo was taken on a lazy Sunday afternoon on a road in the countryside near my home.  the area has a very subtle form of beauty. you won't find anything "spectacular" to shoot, but if you look closely, you can find scenes such as this, that all too often...we tend to overlook.
