"Sri Maha Lakshmi reached Patala Loka, where she heard a divine voice

stating that a pushkarini was dug on the banks of the river

Swarnamukhi, and here She immersed herself in penance for 12 years.

"In the 13th year (during the month of Karteeka, on Panchami day in

the last fortnight, highlighted by the nakshathram Uttarashadha), Sri

Padmavathi emerged from a golden lotus. It is believed that Goddess

MahaLakshmi herself emerged as Sri Padmavathi."

Rajat, I prefer this image more than the other upload, because here you got better details of the temple, while the devotees are in focus. Many thanks for your introductory note.

Rajat, a great story to go with a wonderful photograph. From the detail it looks like and incredible temple. Is it stone? It sparkles as though it is gilded. I like the people milling about, particularly the woman in blue.

Thanks for the suggestions and rework on my last post. I think it works much better.

Around 9am on a somewhat cloudy day. But there was wonderful morning light, suffused sunshine. I regret I have no idea whether it's stone or some other material. I didn't go in. Stayed outside and took a few photographs. Glad you like it.

Very nice local life near the beautiful temple, I like the details of the colored women garments vs. the white temple behind. Thanks for the preface , interesting and adds to the frame.

Hello Rajat, I too like this better than the first temple shot. The temple looks amazing with all that intricate detail. Love to see some close-up shots of it. This image works very nicely though, good color and composition. Take care.

Best Regards,

Holger
