I enjoyed your winter landscape photo. well done with the color, lighting and composition. I like being able to see the sky throught the trees and the leaves on the trees and the bridge and snow all make for a very pleasing winter landscape photo. it would be a nice framed photo. I also take a lot of winter landscape photos being from northern Minnesota so I enjoy seeing others winter photos. take care

Christal,

I love the scene (especially since there is no shovelling involved..ha). Very peaceful. I think your post processing is wonderful. Makes it look like a painting which I always enjoy! Nice work!

A really nice choice for composition. The railings lead the eye through a path with twists, and therefore, interest, but we could veer off to the right instead.  The open space with a bit of direction works well.  I like the exclusion of sky, as it makes this a cozier walk, ensconced in the protection of trees.  Finally, the red leaves add a lovely accent.

It has to be seen larger, the details are feeling like I will walk into the forest in a moment...;-))I like the space in the FG with  the lines of soft shadows, and the points of falling leaves, add to this the fence .Myself living in a dry part of the world, it is a pleasure to see your side of the beautiful winter atmospher.

Christal...  You know me, I like for landscapes to place me next to the photographer and this accomplishes that well.  I was undecided about the "sculptured" texture at first but have decided it's not unlike a painting over the mantle at Grandma's house in the country.  And that's a good thing, warm and inviting (in spite of the snow).  Good shot... Mike

Christal...you have made a cold winter day look beautiful.  The larger view works best and it really is an amazing image.  Thanks for sharing.

Christal,

Your image here "makes me feel the suns warmth on a cold winter day!"

Just the kind of winter day I prefer but find rarely here in Kansas!

The place, composition, details & lighting are very good!

I especially like the shadows from the trees and bridge railings, and the subtle remnant autumn colors.

Regards,

Jim j.
