I think this could have been a very difficult image to get right, the graduation from warm to cool can be very tricky to do without the snow looking dirty or off colour, but I have to say you have done a fine job. The tracks in the foreground are a nice touch also.

Roger, wonderful image.  I fully agree with Alf Bailey's comment about the warm and cold in this image.  The yellow sky is amazing.  The warmth radiated from it casts a perfect warm glow on the snow and ground amongst the trees.  I also like the bent trunks and shapes of the trees.  Another important feature of the image is the contrast between the busy trees and the complete openness of the right side of the image.  I am intrigued by the geography here.  So this is northern Sweden.  I find value in knowing what and where I am observing when I look at images online.   Lately, I have read a number of Swedish authors such as Stieg Larsson and Maj Sjowall and Per Wahloo who verbally describe the land.  Your image creates and displays the reality of the land that adds depth and understanding. You have also created a most effective virtual frame as well. Thanks for sharing.

You make the cold austere landscape of the far north absolutely radiate with beauty!  Beautiful capture in a difficult lighting situation.
