Rudd, Trisha and Pnina, thanks so much for your thoughts.

Pnina, I got to thinking about what one would think of America if they had to use my images as a guide. They would think it is one pretty twisted place. Well it is for sure, but I don't think I'd be giving a completely accurate depiction.

pov, perspective and composition have synthesized with your incomparable caption to turn what could have been a mildly amusing sight into a priceless photograph... it's always a pleasure viewing your work, David... far from a twisted place, your cameos of America signify a humane quirkiness that disavows strongly the widely perceived view of the US as a big bully

The goal these days is to get butts into the pews at any cost.  No thinking required.  And you have photographic proof.

Thanks for your vote of confidence. I'm always very interested to hear what those who are not U.S. citizens see when they visit my wacky world.

Thanks also to my friends Jeff and Jack, who always are willing to take a tortuous journey through my demented world.

It took me awhile to see this, but the sign and the two mannequins in the foreground echo the three crosses in the background. Kinda neat.

Very keenly observed and funny capture, David. And = only 13.00$. (You can keep your Pantheon ;-)   Best regards, Marjolein

Do I get a discount if I don't want the jeans ?

I love the way the sun is lighting up the sign and warming those backsides, it makes it all seem so inviting.
