Pierre Dumas 264 Posted January 10, 2011 It isn't exactly a still life, but neither is abstract! It's a montageof various objects I found in a shop for antiquities! Thank you foryour attention dear colleagues!PDE Link to comment

billsymmons 0 Posted January 10, 2011 The way in which the light plays in this, the objects themselves and even the cloth they are arranged on all bring a sense of age. One can almost "smell" the antiquity.Very well set up and very well presented Pierre. All my best, Bill Link to comment

matthijs 0 Posted January 11, 2011 Greek? To me it's a slight distraction that the statue is on black while the rest is mostly on red... That said, it gives a nice "museum" impression. M. Link to comment

tonyfrench 0 Posted January 12, 2011 Pierre, i like how the line of between black and red moves through the space. The varying patina's of the metal objects works very well together. I really like the placement of the soldier completely against the black while the vessels are resting on the red cloth. Link to comment

dabar 0 Posted January 12, 2011 Something different... and Very Nice! You are full of pleasant surprises my friend. :-)I find it interesting that, in this composition, the table-ware has a 'guardian' with spear at-the-ready.Great shot, with an 'earthy' look about it. Perfect for the subject matter. Link to comment
