Matthew Brennan 3 Posted January 8, 2011 These are 300+ year old river red gum trees growing on the old former flow of the Goulburn River before the new channel was cut when the Eildon Dam was constructed. The old river bed is now a chain of beautiful lagoons - part of which run through my parent's farm. This is the first time in 14 years the lagoons have had water in them after good winter and spring rains have returned to this part of the world. I'm thrilled to be able to capture these reflections I once gazed upon well before I became interested in photography. Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted January 9, 2011 The tree's are such a beautiful shape and I like how you have caught them in the light. I am not suprised you are thrilled to see the waterways full again, the reflections are just brilliant. long may there continue to be water in them. I think the photo opportunities on your doorstep will be amazing.Nice work Mathew!Best RegardsAlf Link to comment
