single photos Polar Bear Plunge in Milwaukee New Year's Day

Hey Tim,  I came on over looking for one of these and you do not disappoint !

The toning gives a nice retro feel. The ice in the foreground informs the shot, without it this could be any nice summer day at the beach. ... although I'd still be wondering why everyone was in such a hurry.

The angle of the shot is well-considered with the ice dominating the left foreground. I think the people in the background come as close to walking on water as you're likely to find outside the gospels.
