andrea-de-bonis 6 Posted January 2, 2011 what an excellent photo, Gunnar! so dinamic, the floor with his inclination is the third painting, and drives to the others havindg a relation with them. who is the painter? klimt? Link to comment
gunnar1664882369 1 Posted January 2, 2011 These are works of Evald Okas (b. 1915), an Estonian painter. Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted January 2, 2011 The stark geometrical forms of the foreground accentuate the more colourful tones and forms of the paintings, I'm not sure about the angle, but I think that is just a matter of personal taste. I love the concept.Very well done!Best RegardsAlf Link to comment
3m 0 Posted January 2, 2011 I was initially of two minds about your chosen angle as well, but then decided it actually works for me. The eye seems to enter the photo from an exaggerated and artificial low angle, climbing upwards towards the corner of the room (now a triangular form), and then ends up inside the 2 paintings. (where both the bent knees in one, and the raised elbows in the other painting, seem to create two additional triangles on top of the main one) Your framing (reminds me a bit of Marku's ) enhances your photo as well, imo. Nice and creative work, Gunnar! My very best wishes to you and yours for a Happy, Healthy, and Creative 2011. Marjolein Link to comment
Art X Photography 1 Posted January 2, 2011 the angle works well here to compliment the dimension of the whole image. the balance of monochromatic floor (not sure if this is purposeful or whether thats just the way the environment is set) and hanging art works well also. well done Gunnar Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 3, 2011 Great depth of field and control over the image angle to give movement... well composed... MJ Link to comment
lliebl 5 Posted January 4, 2011 Well done, Gunnar. The angle seems to be a key component to the successful composition. ~~~~~~~L Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted January 4, 2011 What a wonderful, disorienting shot. I don't feel so much like I'm walking through a gallery as floating through it. A belated Happy New Year greeting to you and your family. All the best, Jack Link to comment
elportebonheur 0 Posted January 5, 2011 The idea to tilt the photograph creates definitely the visual appeal of the image. Great realization Gunnar! Compliments Link to comment
