Gloomy Sunday . . . . . but beautifully captured!  The mood is perfect Hamid, especially your good chioice of b/w to transmit this. Tonality is great altough my style would push contrast a little bit more. Cloud movement is fantastic as well as perspective. A big well done for this great image.  (7) Congratulations!

Hamid, it may be gloomy, but it's beautiful also. I like the stillness of the water in contrast to the movement of the clouds. The perspective on the posts is great.

The cloud movement gives this image a very dynamic appeal while the shot is anchored admirably by the foreground uprights. The long exposure has also added a silky smooth texture to the water and reflections, which is another attractive feature. The B & W conversion has been well handled, and very well composed, in fact I can't fault it. But I don't think it's gloomy at all, "Moody" might be a better choice of adjective.

Well done, Top Marks Hamid! 7

hello hamid and happy new year. I really like the movement of clouds and the contrast with the upright wooden buildings. bello

This actually works well, not gloomy at all! I agree with Alf's statement that moody might have been a better choice. You have done well with long exposure and making the most of limited light. The reflection and slight movement in the water catches my eyes as I look along those old pilings. Nicely presented in B/W.

Take care, Pamela

This scene is not actually gloomy, though i made it so to recall the song " Gloomy sunday", composed by Hungarian pianist and composer Rezső Seress in 1933 to a Hungarian poem written by László Jávor, And also a film directed by Rolf Schübel, 1999, in drama genre. These art pieces are some in dark dark mood, and also in coordination with our iranian situation nowadays...

John!

I'm very happy to see your note and warm comment. Your kind and wise suggestion of more contrast is exactly right, but i preferred more softness to impart its dreamy effect. Thank you so much, and have a nice new year.

It is always pleasure to view your post  and at the same to enjoy them, this b/w presentation is superbly exposed and comes in very fine details along with a highly skilled selection of DOF, the contrast and tone are also of very high quality and adding a real impact to the composition.

This is really a masterful composition with wonderful bw tonality. The waves in the foreground and the sense of movements in the sky are simply amazing. A poetic image created by an artist-photographer. Best regards.

Hamid ! Top marks for yet another seacape, same location as the other, but it's amazing how quickly the clouds can change....they almost appeaar threatening here..wonderful work in your editing (as you usually manage to do) and although gloomy, can still see enough detail in the shadows in the shoreline.  well done!  Most sincerely, Gail

Truly outstanding image! Il like the bright spotin the distant sky toward which the clouds appear to be racing. The picture itself is a study in contrasts, from the solid to liquid, calm to dramatic, uprights to horizontal horizon. Remarkable work! regards and 7 from me. Sekhar
