A low budget studio esque floral still = Window sill, under fluorescent

lamp illumination, black foam-board back drop, bounce flash off navajo

white ceiling, first day of amaryllis bloom. How well does it fair? I thank

you in advance for your time.

Beautiful close up and so well lit, the details are superb and so the colors, the black background at the foreground adding a great interesting factor to this very pleasant work.

Thank you for sharing it and wishing you and yours a very Happy New Year.

Red is one of those colours that is notoriously difficult to photograph, but I think you have done a great job here. Your focus on the "anther" part of the stamen was a good choice and allows the viewers eyes to follow the filament to the core, though I might have been inclined to remove the drooping one. I did like Red Lion 004 from the thumbnail but I can't open it, maybe you removed it?

Nice work Dave!

Sincere Best Wishes for 2011

Rashed and Alf, I thank you both for your visit and comments.  Alf, I thought I was happy with my presentation of Red Lion 004 until I opened it at work this AM.  Though it is not by any means a calibrated monitor, the colors were coming across in a blue hue.  I was aghast, and quickly removed it fearing others may see it in the same "light".  In the near future there will be more posted of this shoot, including 004.  Thank you for your interest.  Best regards...
