robpolder 0 Posted December 18, 2010 Hi Andrew, great one! I like the colour version best; especially for the hint of blue that her eyes produce.. if you convert to b&w, maybe it helps to play with the red to get the best skin tones and texture. cheers, rob Link to comment
starvy 7 Posted December 18, 2010 Andrew,Thank you again for allowing me the pleasure of looking at your work. As always, your depth of field is just right. Her face is very flatteringly smooth. I like the posture but there are two issues here for me. Firstly, the ring. There is something puerile in her gaze. That gaze is deceptively seductive but the ring symbolises attachment. Am I thinking too much? I'd have liked her without it. I am slightly undecided about the nether region. Do I want to see more or see less? The rotic look would certainly demand more of it but as I look at it this evening, I feel like wanting to see a little less!My last issue is the backdrop yet again! You are so good at the difficult stuff but seem to oversee the simple! I want to see less of it and thus perhaps some form of backlighting or a greater distance from the backdrop would be preferable. The colour is a little too natural for me and it seems to feel a little too yellow against that contrastless backdrop.Once more, such a pretty model and you do flatter her so much. I'd definitely want to see lots more from you with the same model. Challenge me!Merry Christmas! Link to comment
andrzejp 7 Posted December 19, 2010 Starvy,You have many good points there, but with some I do not agree. Picture is not only documenting the reality but it also is a form of artistic expression.I could easily move the model further so there would be no shadow. I left the gentle cast as a connection with reality or the backdrop. I could give her any skin tones I want but I like it on a warm side. Perhaps it is my monitor, but I like it this way. gooseberry 0 Posted April 17, 2011 My vote goes to the B&W version (perhaps too bright in places, but didn't want to spend ages masking)Btw, which background is real? -- I'd guess this one -- the "wallpaper" looks very natural / believable, including its reflection on the table's top, which actually defies the laws of optics ;) Link to comment
andrzejp 7 Posted April 17, 2011 Tomek, She was sitting on a table next to the white wall. I have a b&w version. I will post it with dedication to you.Andrew Link to comment
