sagacioustechie 0 Posted December 5, 2010 Wow Sam! This is an absolutely amazing shot. I love the way the sky and ground are split diagonally rather than horizontally as is usually seen. The range of colors are incredible and the sky looks dramatic and beautiful. The lighthouse barely illuminated on the top of the hill adds a perfect finishing touch and a great counterpoint to the sun on the horizon.I am incredibly impressed by this photo, this is fantastic work. Keep it up!Best regards,Stan. Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted December 5, 2010 I am in agreement with Stan, this is a very well composed image, the silhouetted pines add great contrast against that dramatic sunset, and the illuminated lighthouse is perfectly placed in the frame. I might have wished for a bit more detail in the immediate foreground, and maybe this would have been possible if a ND grad had been utilised on a diagonal line, but suffice to say, this is a really nice shot as it is.Sincere Compliments!Alf Link to comment
rconey 295 Posted December 6, 2010 My first thought was that the foreground was too dark. Then I noticed the lighthouse and had to reconsider. It works, but I wonder if a second exposure a stop or two lighte would have let you combine into a more powerful shot. I like it as is , but.. Link to comment
