Wonderful creative take of so well-known statue. In my book the composition is first class, just some adjustment in contrast could improve further this great photo, IMHO.

Nothing political in this but somehow I see here a Roman emperor about turning his thumb down at the end of gladiator fight.

Agree to Markku: he is about to turn down his thumb! It's a great example how a new viewpoint and composition can completely alter the impact of a subject.

As stated, the composition is first class. Very unique view. I find myself wondering how it might look as more high key.
