Guest Guest Posted November 21, 2010 Aleksandar,They are pretty colors and I guess you could call them the "Colors of Life." As a general rule you should avoid bright colors and bold patterns in clothing. In a portrait the subject’s face is what is most important and nothing should draw the viewer’s attention away from the face. I am not certain this is clothing, but the idea stays the same. You want her face to be the center of attention and not have the viewer lose her in the busyness of the photo.The overall color looks a little dark and too warm to me. The whites of her eyes could be whiter.I love the catchlights and her beautiful smile. The lighting is good and the specular highlights on her lips are very nice.I have tried to balance the composition and make the colors look a little better. I couldn't do much about the bold pattern of the material.Nice shot,Mark Link to comment
