...don't know why but somehow I prefer this tight crop -- feels more "to the point" or "focused" I guess, for lack of a better term -- which is not to say that I don't like the uncropped version (as a matter of fact, I was debating which one to post for quite some time and, failing to make up my mind, I eventually decided to post both ;)

I'd be interested to know how you compare the two (?)

I like this image... I can feel the passion.  And on a minor note, another element I like is the use of a female model with a bush.  IMHO, it adds femininity, symmetry and balance to the image.  Nice job and good choice of models!

I've just compared two versions of the image and yes your intuition

made a right perfect choice - to crop the image in the way that

instead of vertical rectangle we have a black square so   our attention

consentrated on the Kiss not on something else; black and white

only underscore and inhance a value of an image ( try to get

back to original composition and make it in color - you going to have

just a porno )

Simply beautiful. Falls into that category of images I wish I had captured. The lighting, tones, and sharpness are all spot on. The models have done a wonderful job here. Bravo.

When I am so much impacted by an image I can not critique very objective. I can see so much thinkgs - error made by writer - here. Love, passion, photography, b&W, textures, darkness, atmosphere, pose, anatomy, feminity - ... masculinity -, composition,... perhaps these words could help to express how I admire a good work when I see it first time.

About the controversy, I support THIS crop as much more high impact than the another one - more soft, "artistic" - and I think in these cases photography is searching for impact people. See you, bye. Josemi Gondra
