Pnina...this is well composed with great tones.  Also, I like the b/w effect and your DOF.  Well done and thanks for sharing such a great image.

Good one, Pnina, did you take this on your trip? From the composition to the tones to the animation of the subject herself, this is an excellent picture. The DOF is perfect to isolate the lady against the background.

Pnina, Beautiful light in this. I love the way you composed it with her leaning in from the side. THe tones are excellent.

A very in-your-face smile. Can't miss it! Her expression takes center stage. She seems to be a tourist. (For some reason the little book she's carrying looks like a tour book to me.) The depth of field provides visual elements and compositional structure without giving much clue to what we're looking at. So that leads the smile to be the main event, which the title tells us as well. Her face is nicely framed by the dark background rectangular space. There's a prominent shadow right on her nose that attracts a lot of attention. The woman in this photo looks uncannily like Annie Leibovitz. How great a grab would that have been, if you had accidentally taken La Leibovitz's picture with such a smile!

Super candid!  Great smile with a muted background which ensures the attention stays on your subject.  The books she carries tells us a little of her internet interests. Her diagonal posture satisfies that sought after element.   I hope she's leaning on a railing, looks like she's about to fall in the water.  To me she does indeed look like Annie Leibovitz  though I doubt Annie has much to smile about these days.  And, you have satisfied my preference for B&W mode in people pictures.  Always interesting to see your latest.   Best, LM.

Jack, yes it was taken in my last travel, it was in one the  the outskirts of the city, her smile was catching...

Tony, Grigoriy, Meir and Vadim, thanks for your feedback!

Ioannis and Lawrence thanks for stopping by and your impressions.

Asher nice to see you again...;-))

Fred, thanks, she is a local woman seen in one of the canals in the outskirts of the city ,standing on a small 'traveling" bridge that took her to the other side of the canal, her smile and friendly attitude was catching. Well Fred, maybe I'm Annie Leibobvitz? LOL...( With all due respect to her photgraphy !!....   I prefer being myself....;-))

Alberto, thanks as well.

Len, thanks for your nice feedback. Her L hand/arm was holding to the railing  of the "traveling' bridge ,It was not a natural hold but I was attracted to her smile, so that is the result ( cropping to a square)saving her beautiful face and  friendly attitude. Please read my answer it Fred about Annie Leibovitz....Always nice to see you here as well.

Pnina, language clarification. I wasn't comparing you to Annie Leibovitz. I said the woman in the photo looks like her.

You should know me by now...I was Joking! I undestood you perfectly and it is a language misunderstanding.

A very good animated shot, Pnina! Perfectly composed, imo. I like her engaging smile as well. ( I doubt it really is Annie -- although there certainly is a big resemblance -- since the book she is holding, is in Dutch :-)

Marjolein, thanks for finding the time in your busy schedule. She is a local Dutch woman,I did not think about the similarity to Annie Leibovitz while photographing her, but after Fred added that point/name I see there is some resemblance... I went to the Internet to see what she is interested in... But what I liked best was her catching friendly smile.

Dave , thanks for your visit and feedback!
