Thanks for dropping by. I think I have one more Leaf afloat before I close off this series and it is quite different from the rest.

Beautiful shot. The red leaf is correctly positioned in the thirds of the composition. Beautiful colours and great lighting. Very well seen. Congrats.

This whole series is beautiful Tony. You made a number of great images from this floating leaf. It's a lesson for all of us to look for the possibilities in what we see when we shoot.

This one has lovely fluid water that is perfectly transparent under the leaf and your processing is just wonderful. A superb image.

All my best,   Bill

great shot and processing . Choosing a favorite in the series is quite difficult, but this one have a special poetry, not so evident at a first quick glance.

congrats

In this photo the blue reflections and the orange transmitted light provide a nice foil to the directly lit leaf.

A very soothing image.

Absolutely gorgeous composition Tony! Love the deep, saturated colors, and the patterns created by the refracted light on the bottom! Excellent eye Tony! I always miss this type of shot.

All the best,
Neil

Wow! Just when I thought it didn't come any better when I seen your last maple leaf afloat image, you hit me with this one! The sunlight illuminating the leaf and the river bed is a lovely touch. I can't fault the composition or the processing.

Very well done Tony!

Best Regards

Alf

I agree with the comments above, this has been a great series of images.  The blue and gold stripes in this photo provide for a very rich setting for your leaf.  Fall is an odd mix of cool and warm and your photo depicts this quite well.  Very nice!

A simple subject yet transformed in a great image. I love the colours especially the blue highlights refected in the water. Excellent composition using rule of thirds. Best regards.

Raymond Borg: this leaf was floating in the water and it was moving from right to left at a slow place. maintaining focus, placing it in the 'thirds' position and letting the light to hit it while ensuring proper exposure was a challenge. I have many images showing failure but thought I would share this one.

Bill - glad you liked the series.

Vezio, Patsy and Dave - thanks for the very positive support.

Neil - I appreciate the detailed comment highlighting what you specifically liked about the image.

The series was a worthwhile exercise.  This one in particular captures my interest mainly because of the rich saturated colours and the contrasts of both light and colour.  Waiting for the leaf to float over to the shaft of sunlight which illuminates it shows foresight and patience.  A keeper for sure and, in my opinion, a candidate for printing and displaying.  Best, LM.
