pfranklin 0 Posted October 2, 2010 Another very tiny mushroom from this enchanted fairy land. I appreciate all comments and advice. Handheld f/4 ISO 500 low light. Thank you for your time Link to comment
quasifoto 0 Posted October 2, 2010 Hi Pamela,I really like the photo and composition. I do think it would have been a little better if there had been more of the vegetation in focus on the left of the frame. Nonetheless, a wonderful photo, subject matter and colors! Well seen! Best Regards~ Gary Link to comment
alpenglow 0 Posted October 2, 2010 Amazing image. The selective focus is beautiful. Way to spot this gem of a composition. Mike Link to comment
kaushikphotography 0 Posted October 2, 2010 Awesome light and the choosy focusing. Great colorplay and the composition. Like it. All the best. Regards. Link to comment
JimCowan 0 Posted October 2, 2010 This is so well done, you have the perfect dof while the lighting and the out of focus elements support the mystery of 'the fairy land'. What a wonderful theme, I would love to see III and IV and more.Jim Link to comment

pfranklin 0 Posted October 3, 2010 Gary, Thank you for the thoughtful comment. I agree this could have been done better but the situation was not my normal comfort shoot. I hope to find this place again and do it right...if not then these will have to do and I will be happy with the fact that I actually experienced this amazing place. Mike, Thank you, I am happy that you like this. Kaushik, Always a pleasure to have you visit and leave a comment! I appreciate the words very much. Jim, I am happy that you like this one...hopefully there are a few more images from this shoot to salvage. This place was magical and lucky me to have been there! Thank you for the support. Harry, Thank you for the kind words and support. Ricardo, Thank you for the very kind words and I appreciate that you took the time to comment ;) Warmest regards, Pamela Link to comment

melloncollie 0 Posted October 4, 2010 you really caught the mood of this, and outstanding composition. i would like a little more sharpness. all in all it is a very good photo. Link to comment
harlequin 0 Posted October 4, 2010 Nice shot. I would have liked the background behind the mushroom head to be a little darker so that it stood out more. Moss on the left is stealing some of the focus from the shot. - Charles Link to comment
knobby6 1 Posted October 6, 2010 I have to agree with Charles, that the fauna on the left is distracting a bit from the mushroom. That said, is still a pleasing image. Link to comment
ifti 1 Posted October 6, 2010 Your low angle has made this picture unique. The mushroom is sharp and then everything melts behind it. A closer crop will be very enhancing. Regards, ifti. Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted October 9, 2010 Ahhh now this one is less interuppted in the foreground and therefore the sense of "fairy land" is that much stronger (Though I still think that last one was an amazing find, have you looked it up yet to see if it's been catalogued anywhere? you may have discovered a new species), the mosses and lichen provide the perfect back drop and the ethereal light works it's magic well here. Love it!Warmest RegardsAlf Link to comment
pfranklin 0 Posted October 10, 2010 I appreciate the kind comments you all have left. I know that this isn't one of my best images, not as sharp as I would like but it was such a unique and enchanting place that I just had to share these little guys ;) Thank you to everyone!Warm regards, Pamela Link to comment

GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted October 16, 2010 Grande shot Pamela....I can truly see where a 'fairy' figure would look just great under the mushroom....terrific...DOF and color blending. sincerely, Gail Link to comment
jaceerickson 0 Posted November 13, 2010 this is a neat perspective and i like what you did with the depth of field. very intriguing Link to comment
marek_grzelczak1 0 Posted November 27, 2010 This is eye-catching image.. I like this fuzzy background in the right corner that gradually became sharper, passing trough the diagonal green boundary. Very pleasant colours. The light is the strong point of this image- accented highlights just on the hat of the mushroom. Each photography should have its own story, but each photography should be a part of bigger story. And this image fix perfectly. Link to comment
