Well Tarek with one 3 and 2 4s in rating you can keep your Nokia and soot at least just as good photos. Thanks for your support and comment?

The photo is shot from the top floor of the Guimet museum in Paris on

East Asian Art.

I'm especially interested in comments on the composition but any

comments would be appreciated. The photo is shot with an Iphone 4

camera.

Thanks Pierre, coming from you and noting that this is as straight a straight photography can be, I highly appreciate your support.

Don't worry Tarek, my comments on the ratings were ironical. As mentioned, Also Nokia can produce useable  photos. I'm convinced that the updates announced from Apple for the Iphones will make us replace our pocket cameras altogether.

By the way what I especially like in the shot is the man in the white shirt surrounded by the efforts of the architects.

I think this is probably one of the best images composition wise that I have encountered, there are several viewpoints to focus upon, but each level leads to another and there is interest at every stage., from bottom to top. The geometric and reflective qualities of the glass roof, symmetrical doorways, angles stairway up to the offices and the studious looking office worker, another angled stairway to the right, the roof space, the distant buildings, sky and finally the apex roof canopy. Another remarkable aspect of the image is of course that it was all captured on an iphone. I had similar experience using a tiny Sony Cybershot camera in Norway, incredible quality. But it must be remembered that the composition is all your work and insight.

If I was to change anything in retrospect, (impossible I know) I would move the potted plant to the left a few feet near the foot of the stairway, (it is quite a central feature at the moment) And the same applies to the office worker but I would move him to the top of the first stairway.

To summarise a perfectly exposed image with great composition and sharpness, it deserves a 7

Best Regards

Alf

First of all thanks to Alf for the compliments on this photo and its composition. Surely not deserved but of course highly appreciated. Sorry for not having reacted on them before now.

Thanks to GangaJim for your kind comments too.
