Today was a very good day, as was yesterday. I was able to 'embrace'

my children, feel their faces against mine while enveloped in their arms,

arms that had no agenda.....no motive, other than LOVE. Asking

nothing of me but to just share some time in each other's presence.

Their lives are not perfect, but no sound of complaint was uttered. Life

was suspended for a short period, and hearts were happy. I've missed

that sound of laughter. May I always realise that not one of us is

perfect, and not cast judgement upon them when life is not quite what 'I"

think it should be. Life passes by in milleseconds....and just one of

those tiny pieces of time could alter the happiness I have just

experienced. May I always be a source of comfort for them, a place to

come to when they need 'solace' from an imperfect world, a soft

shoulder to lean on, a tissue when tears fall, and a 'kind word' when

they so desperately need to hear one......despite anything that may be

going on in 'my life'. Ribbons of memories linger....and dance within my

mind....my heart is light and I know that tomorrow CAN BE a good day

also.....but only if 'I CHOOSE'. May I always have the 'gift' of

choosing.......Gail

The ribbons appear fluidly dancing, graceful, and the pink is hot and cheerful.  Inside:  a starburst surprise.  Oddly enough, this also mimics an eye, which one can admire and perhaps can look out at the world.  Lovely.

You have a lovely manner in which you critique.   You see so much into an image....very similar to my 'intent'. The Iceland Poppy is so beautiful, delicate and almost translucent in may parts of the petal.  They are one of my favorite flowers.  Thankyou for those very descriptive words of critique. And of course for the time you take to visit.  Most sincerely Gail

Your interpretatons are always appreciated as you 'see' into an image within the 'pages' of my gallery.  Sincere regards for your kindness, Gail

The photo projects a very soft and serene state of being here. A "leave your troubles behind and all is right with the world" kind of mood. Very nice!!

You seem to have been infused with a very powerful dose of creativity.  Whatever the explanation, your work has taken you to a new level.  This is a great example.  There is incredible tension between the ribbons on the periphery and the structure in the center, which dares the viewer to be drawn in.  The color tones are not overblown, and neither is the detail.

Great stuff!!!

Thankyou Dave, this comp is a little soothing, I'm recovering from an unexpected 'root canal' , at least the beginnings of it the other day, and I'm a bit behind on my replies.  Thanks so much for those kind words, Gail

Many thanks for that remark....3D I thought it was a bit, but the more I even look at it, it does appear to be....thankyou for pointing that out to me.  Sincerely, Gail
