I like how you manage illumination, it well seen on this particular work. I think it need little bit play with composition. But, overall interesting object and light.

I really like the light and tones and the thorny branches! like little arms reaching up.

Subtle illumination, with good sharp detail, but the real beauty of the shot lies in the apparent gesticulation of the "arms" and tilted head of the plant, it appears to play charades with the viewer and a million permutations of the message could be interpreted.
