pjmeade 12 Posted May 25, 2010 Although this is a nice image as it stands, I think the composition would have been somewhat improved by having a little more space on the left, somewhere for the horses to go. Link to comment

ar11664883249 0 Posted May 25, 2010 This is a very appealing photograph...almost classic with a beautiful scenery. If this was our image, we would have cropped/taken away the small dark areas at the top. And if possible, added more space to the left of horses, to increase the sense of movement. Your name stamp is a little bit distracting to this presentation. Just our two cents :-)Warm regards, Anne & Runar :-) Link to comment

GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted May 26, 2010 Beautiful image Linda with these two horses galloping underneath this very moody sky that you've captured and with some great p/p made into a lovley landscape. I love horses but don't get the opportunity to photograph them very much at all. This is truly a lovely shot. Sincerely, Gail Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted May 26, 2010 Thank you for your thoughts. I appreciate it.Peter, I agree with you. These two bolted at the sight of my camera so I just grabbed some quick shots. This was the best.A R, thanks for the advice. I am not sure what small dark area you mean. I wish I could have added more space at the left. I have mixed feelings about watermarks. I thought I would try it in order to discourage theft. But maybe if it is too distracting I will forget about it.Gail, thank you. I am fortunate to be living in horse country. They are everywhere, domesticated and wild. These are Quarter Horses. We often see wild horses in the mountains. They look pretty ragged compared to these two.Best wishes,Linda Link to comment
gungajim 75 Posted May 27, 2010 Linda,Nice capture of a spring frolick before the impending storm. Good angle on the horses. You avoided making it a "butt" shot! The bevy of birds adds to a nice sense of motion. Link to comment

alfbailey 3 Posted May 28, 2010 The lighting and colours give me the impression of a water colour painting particularly the sky, the foreground grasses and flowers are a great setting for the two horses, nice work Linda.RegardsAlf Link to comment

trisha jean-angela 5 Posted May 30, 2010 Beautiful shot! I agree some space to the left would be nice, but animals are independant, living creatures and often very difficult to photograph as they don't take direction like models do. This is a very lovely photograph in which you have also captured the horses wild nature and free spirit...I love the vast background too. Very well done. Thank you for sharing. :) Link to comment
