ldavidson 4 Posted May 22, 2010 I can't decide which one is best, any thoughts, comments, critiques are welcome. Thanks for looking. Link to comment
sadeghmiri 1 Posted May 22, 2010 Wonderful capture Linda! I like this one more because of DOF and the blurry background. Best regards Sadegh Link to comment
alfbailey 2 Posted May 22, 2010 I do like both, but if I had to choose it would be this one, it is a bit less fussy and better lit, and the closer perspective, making the detail more apparent. Beautiful vivid blues and calm greens compliment each other nicely.Very Nice work LindaRegardsAlf Link to comment
andrea allison 0 Posted May 22, 2010 Beautiful green and back light on the blue. I can feel the mood "It is great to be alive and what a beautiful day in my garden" Can relate to that lol . Very nice Linda. Link to comment
sonneland 0 Posted May 23, 2010 Linda, gosh i just discovered your portfolio for the first time and read your bio. Linda you are one amazing lady with or without the camera. also see you like blue willow design. We live in the Marlborough Sounds, have our own wee bay and beach, i sometimes walk up and down our beach finding bits of sea glass and always get excited when it turns out to be willow glass, which is not very often unfortunately. i like this version of your flowers as the other one is a wee bit dark in front. jeffl7 0 Posted May 23, 2010 Indeed. I like how the sun shine through, almost making them into stained-glass windows. Link to comment
matthijs 0 Posted May 24, 2010 Yes, they are! My preference would be this tighter crop. It delivers more impact and detail whereas the other hoovers between a flower and a landscape composition in a bad way. (to my eyes of course...) Regards, M. Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted May 25, 2010 Sadegh, thank you!Alf, I think it is unanimous, everyone prefers this version. Thank you.Andrea, that is the mood alright. Somedays I wish I were a bug. Dr. Didi, thank you.Roger, I do love Blue Willow. The day that bio shot was taken I was wearing a new T-shirt that I bought on impulse the moment I saw it. I was also wearing ear rings and pendent made of old broken peices of Blue Willow. I hadn't really realized that I was becoming a bit Obsessive Compulsion until I noticed while sitting in my dining room that I matched.Jeff, thank you. It's nice to hear from you.Bobby, thank you.Matthijs, many thanks for the tip. I appreciate it. Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted May 26, 2010 Hi Linda! I also vote for this one. It somehow fills the space a bit more gracefully and I love it! Are these called 'Bachelor's Buttons'? I've been wanting some of these for my garden because I love the vivid purple color! It's a shame we don't live closer together, or we could swap perennials! :-) Link to comment

ldavidson 4 Posted May 30, 2010 Thanks for visiting.Christal, I don't know what these are called, the previous owners of our house planted them. They are so beautiful, I love them. The are very prolific, reproduce themselves like weeds. It's good to hear from you. Best wishes. Link to comment
