Not the best time to take a photograph but when it's the only time you have, then you have to take what you are presented with.  The photograph  does provide a great insight into the scale and magnificence of this structure, with good perspective, and composition.

I am glad you like the image but in terms of light, it has the flat light of high noon that does not really help.

Where are the "Peace Activists"?

This is probably not the best place to mention it, as all you see there is people enjoying a trip during their May 1 holiday. As for the sorry incident of the hate activists you allude to, it is very sad that we can proudly be the number 1 producer, importer, exporter and consumer of hate in the world.
