This is absolutely stunning. Wonderful composed landscape image so that the geometric figures in the landscapes comes to life in all their shapes and forms in the foreground. The mountain as background with this amazing sky and the details and the sharpness adds to the total impression. Just great photography!

Take good care Alf and all the best to you and your family from Jannica.

This is a beautiful shot. Like the mountain's reflection through the grass. Also the mountain is placed at 1/3 from the right most edge of the frame which makes this composition work (I think).

I agree with Linda....Jannica has critiqed this image so expertly.  The detail is amazing as is every component as it all comes together.  A very beautiful, well thought out shot and processing, sincerely, Gail

Great image Alf, the crispness of details is stunning.  I also like the geometric shapes. All these repetitive triangular shapes in the image are wonderfully interesting.  I would consider cropping the top of the sky just a tad as there isn't much happening in the top part and it leads my eye out off the frame.  Great image Alf. I'll name that mountain in one !!  Excellent image, I like the foreground reeds and the reflection in the Llyn Idwal. Wondeful low light colours to create a great atmosphere. While you were there, you were part way up to the Cantilever ! Can't wait to get back to Snowdonia.

All the best....John

All was already expressed, I just join the rest. I like the  similarity  of the  mountains form doplicate and   reflected   in the water, like shaping the water in their form...Beautiful  soft light, DOF, color palette, and  nature atmospher that  looks primal and untouched..

The detail is amazing, the foreground and even the detail on the mountain.  The textures and seemingly unique colour of the grass(es).  The wisps of cloud to the left.   The overall shapes, which others have already highlighted in their individual comments.  They all come together very nicely !  Best wishes, Jim

Sincere thanks for looking in and sharing your thoughts it really is appreciated! Yes I can see where you are coming from with cropping the sky, I think I may have to crop a bit of the foreground as well though in order to balance the image. Thats if I was to follow the rule of thirds to the letter  hmmmm you've got me thinking now.

Kind Regards

Hi Alf

actually i wouldn't crop the foreground, i would take just a bit from the sky and leave the foreground alone. By cropping the top you will change the overall ratio of the image and make it a bit more pano so i wouldn't worry about the rule of third.  In addition, i think that if you have a vertical split 50/50 it will just make the image more "static" but in this case this will reinforce the feeling of quietness and tranquility you have captured.  See my suggested crop.  Regards - michel

I like the composition of the picture the way it is. It has a natural flow to it. I don't think this is HDR. If it is, you did an exceptional job controlling it and keeping it real. Great job my friend. Cheers. Jim

For me a tutorial of good landscape photography. Perfect harmony in colors and light. The nitty gritty technical detail comments I leave to the specialist'. In my case the first impression counts. One word: overwhelming...Complimets Alf
