Hi Trisha!

Beautiful, and very well composed  -your exposure looks superb as well.  I especially like the little bud peeking out at top, and the way the green foliage trails down to the left.

Very well done!

Best, David

Thisha ... first of all ... congratulations for this shot !! Excellent textures and colors ...

I appreciate your comment on my colum´s shot today ... I think it was a cloudy afternoon when I captured it ... I hope to return to Rome some day and I wish the sunrays appear at that moment ... Best regards.

HANS - Thank you so much for your kind comments; I am glad you like the light and composition. The light is just a result from a ray of soft morning sun coming through the leaves. I removed some leaves so the rose would be the performing star. I am so happy you like this one and that you took the time to let me know! You are more than welcome for the comment on your photos, your work is very beautiful. Good to hear from you. :)

A.K. - Thank you so much for your visit and kind comments; I am finding the morning light is the most flattering for this particular rose because the rose is so soft in color. I am happy you like this one! Thank you again for your kind words; good to hear from you. :)

RICARDO - Thank you so much for your visit and kind comment; I am finding with many roses in my garden, especially the english variety, that light is key in preserving the details and color so I am happy you like the colors in this one. You are more than welcome for the comment on your photo, it was very beautiful. I dream all the time of the day in which I will be able to see Rome. Good to hear from you. :)

I think flowers is one of the hardest subjects to  photograph, it's so difficult to come up with anything new or different. You have kept it simple, unassuming and natural, and the overall result is really aesthetically pleasing, Great lighting and composition.

Very nice work Trisha!

Kind Regards

Alf
