John Peri 1,033 Posted April 25, 2010 Taken in downtown Manhattan, New York. A police car went three times around the block but strangely left us alone. She was never totally naked at the exact moment that they went by, but they could see that we were taking at minimum partial nude shots in the street. Link to comment
tore 10 Posted April 25, 2010 Well, If they have stoped you could alvays tell the police man that shes not naked , she has her boots on. But then Im sure you would have been arrested :)A great shoot and an extra + for the choise of enviromentBest regards Tore Link to comment
robert gordon 0 Posted April 25, 2010 Did the two women crossing the street say anything? Link to comment
John Peri 1,033 Posted April 25, 2010 Tore Thanks. We would probably have been arrested anyway. It is legal to be topless in a public place in New York, but not bottomless, though I have heard (true or not ?) that you can apply officially for permission for a set place at a specific hour.Robert, no one said anythnig throughout the morning, covering at least 12 to 15 blocs. The only people that manifested themselves were two workers on a scaffolding that surprisingly did not whistle or anything like that but applauded politely by clapping their hands and touching their helmet in saluation. I guess it made an otherwise boring day a little more interesting for them .. "you know what we saw today ... oh come on, you are exagerating, that's not true .. " .. oh yes, an old couple smiled and waved politely too .. and their dog was wagging it's tail like crazy .. :-) Link to comment

JPPhoto1664880217 5 Posted April 26, 2010 I am truly amazed. I have never seen this location so devoid of people. Jim Phelps Link to comment
steve ward 0 Posted April 26, 2010 Even though the reflections in the background say "off hours" I must agree with Jim.The city that never sleeps seems a bit too quiet. Link to comment

chris_march 0 Posted April 27, 2010 As a former New Yorker I am absolutely impressed. You were lucky about the cops. Great shot anyway. Link to comment
pressuredbyphotons 5 Posted May 3, 2010 I think if it were later in the day the police would have interrupted your photoshoot probably out of fear of causing a public disturbance. On the otherhand, perhaps it is nothing they have not already seen before, it is New York after all. Link to comment
