I'm not sure what you mean by "balanced," Tomek. The lighting seems right, the composition seems right, the model seems comfortable and natural. What do you feel is "out of balance?"

Hi Dennis,

I'm not saying that I feel it's not; was looking for a confirmation that it is. The original image seemed imbalanced to me (see above) so I rotated it aiming to make the composition look more 'balanced'. You post suggests I succeeded :D

What exactly have you cropped, David? -- think you've shaved off a bit along the right and the top edges of the original, but haven't rotated it at all, correct? I rotated the original counter-clockwise, so that model's head is less tilted, whist her torso leans the other way (it's pretty much vertical in the original capture), as I thought the two elements would be in "visual equilibrium", creating more "geometrically balanced" composition.

Actually, in my mind, the black space above her head is critical. In the original, the space works well. In the cropped version, there's too much space, and she appears to be "falling" to the bottom of the frame. There's nothing else that I'd question about the composition.

Just to clarify, Dennis: by "original" do you mean the one I posted for critique? -- that's actually the cropped version. It's the "real original" (posted later in my comment) that has more black space above model's head, which I 'trimmed' (in addition to rotating the image CCW) as I also thought there was too much of it.
