Grazie mille Giangiorgio! I think I am getting more of a hang of shooting HB too, it's been a good two years of learning curve for me. Previously I shoot with flashes in shaded area (it's a different style of shooting with multiple low power flashes to freeze the wings). These recent shots are all natural light with occasional filled low

power flash (only when the flash cycle fast enough then it would be on) since I begin to shoot in sequential highspeed. I was only shooting one shot a time previously. I prefer to shoot one shot at a time with or without flashes though.

Greetings from a slightly sunny Southern California! :-)

Can anyone please identify the plant? I have a photo of this species. Would like to know what it's called.

Thanks Folks!

Hi Yuri, the bird is an Allen Hummingbird and the flower is Lantana flower, pretty common flower all over in warm climate, I think.

Totally forgot I posted this. Thank you, Tim! You got it right. I didn't realize I still had the photo in my Photo.net portfolio. If you want to take a look, just scroll down, there aren't many of them. That pic is from ages ago, taken under harsh light and poorly scanned. The only reason I took it was because of the two butterflies that appeared to be mating. Would be nice to identify the species but I don't really care because the photo is crap. It falls between the chairs. It's neither a picture of the flowers nor the butterflies. But hey.. we all learn sooner or later. Thanks again!
