The title "Spring" was already used up, I see it all the time. Changing one letter was all the creative energy necessary to come up with an unused, unique title. OK, so the title is probably more unique than the composition. For me, however, I think the mirrored curve gives this some life. I'm guessing that some of my peers are ready for some "sprung" images. This one is more the result of a scouting effort. I wanted to try a new location, so I was more interested in checking on the progress. Little did I know I would find a landscape full of "springing" compositions. Give it two weeks and this area will be covered up with a variety of blooming plants. I'm quite excited to find this location, it is another escape for me and my camera. It is full of all kinds of possibilities. 4 vertical frames stitched in CS3 for a full frame pano. Thanks for taking a look! The Larger preview is available.

Excellent work, Mark ... great textures & colors. We are living last "sommer" days in South America ... good title !!. Regards.

Thanks Ricardo, sounds like "sommer" is on the way out, soon "fell" and then comes "wonter". Thanks for stopping by as usual!!

Hey Tim. Thanks so much. The morning started out on a poor note. The clouds were too thick for any quality light, but within an hour, they started to break up. This image was taken not long before the light was getting too strong. The blue/white sky combined with these yellow flowers is always an eye catching combination!

I was enchanted with southern California when we drove through with it's rolling hills into the distance. I want to be IN this shot, run through the flowers with my arms up, lay on my back staring at the clouds and fall asleep in the sun. Lovely capture.

Thanks Nicole. Be careful where you lay. This is cattle country, so you might find a meadow muffin pillow. I think that is one reason why the flowers come in so good!

Beautiful scenery mark, the sky looks great above these wonderful wildflowers. Nice rolling hills to the distance also.

How lucky you are to live in such latitudes! The mingling of colours on the meadow is very beautiful and you have captured a nice freshness in the sky.

Ahhhh, like walking in a room and seeing banana pudding! A treat for the senses and I can't wait for the rest of your Spring collection. Just excellent... Mike

What a nicely crafted photograph and a refreshing sight after still seeing snow in my backyard - in these latitudes you still have to wait a while before anything will start springing.

Thanks so much Zsolt, Gary, Antonio, PJ, Juan, Mike, Alfredo and Sandris. I figured spring images would be welcome for many. We get into Spring early in southern California. Meanwhile many other places further north are still 2 months or more from even spring temps, let alone wildflowers and blooming trees. For us, we never get into a winter scenario at our elevation, but it is still snowing as of today in the adjacent mountains. The nearby Sierras will be getting snow for another couple of months at least. I love that diversification within a nearby radius. Makes spring last longer!

Great image, Mark. Hue and contrast (and detail) in the sky (and just the right amount of sky) - used to perfectly match the normally aggressive yellows.
