I think that it is a pretty good photo. You have a nice location to shoot from here. However, I think it would have more effect if there was some sort of blur to it. Either by panning the shot or by using a slower shutter speed so the rider blurs a little bit. This shows the speed at which they are going and creates a sense of motion. In this case I love the expression on the riders face, so panning may be a nice thing to try next time. Overall nice shot though.

Donno if I would risk the shot with panning.

I would recommend shooting wide open with a fast shutter speed. That would crispen up the detail in the wheels. It would also bring the focus straight to the rider, as the background would be blurred.

On a side note, this is a major teaser shot for myself. There is still snow on the ground outside. Can't wait to get out riding.
