I very much like the perspective, the soft light and your used tones here. There is a really nice mood to be felt in your photo. At first I wasn't quite sure about the crop (of the nearest tree) on the top, but on 2nd thought, I like it because it shows just enough of the tree to perceive a slight sheltering feeling of walking underneath of it. Very nicely done, Wolfgang!

all your photos are nice.  This is my favourite from your portfolio.  I really like pics of roads/paths.  This one is great.  The path invites for a walk (or a bike ride).  The trees on the left form a wall that doesn't let the eyes wander beyond them, so the eyes turn to the right-hand row of trees (besides the road) that seem to point to the mysterious mist.  Hmmm, delicious.  Cheers,  Micheal

many thanks for your favourable comment and rating. It's a too rare nice surprise to see older photos being picked up and commented :-)

Lovely image. One can feel in it the earth, the sound of the trees in the breeze, and the fresh air. An effective hommage to our natural environment and to a respectful human presence of the farmer and his road.

It's a shame how much good photographic work gets passed by in the hustle bustle of our lives.  I have not seen this before and am just drawn in by it.  The path, the mist, the contorted and knobby limbs, pushed out to the right by years of wind.  A fascinating landscape that one could get lost in.

@Steve: many thanks for all your recent encouraging comments.

You're right that often good photos which do not immediately cry for attention get overlooked. However, with this one, I'm glad that its being picked up every now and then.
