papasan 0 Posted January 11, 2010 Hi Linda, nice work. I like the colors and the textures. I hope you didn't risk your life on the side of a highway to get this shot (i've noticed lots of those beautiful ice sculptures along the highway near my house but never had the courage to stop and take a shot for fear of getting hit by a speeding car). Well done - michel Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted January 11, 2010 The ice formations are exquisite, sometimes nature seems to be able to provide a far more surreal landscape than even the imagination can envisage, and you have captured it beautifully. Great Shot Linda! Kind Regards Alf Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted January 12, 2010 Thank you gentlemen for the kind comments. I appreciate it. Michel, my husband makes me wear a big, traffic safety vest that is brilliant, iridescent, yellow and red. It visable for miles in either direction. He worries about me being hit too. He also stands guard and yells if he thinks I am being careless. Alf, I agree! (I mean about nature) Best wishes, Linda Link to comment
mbh 0 Posted January 12, 2010 Beautiful image, this makes me think of the Fortress of Solitude, which is a little silly. The natural beauty of this image owes nothing to Hollywood special effects. Link to comment

karolostrivizas 2 Posted January 12, 2010 Perfect detailed capture of the textures Linda…..but the strongest point of your image is the wonderful tonality of the ice with the pale cyan tone…….. Also nicely balanced composition and 3D feeling due to precise exposure and the shadow/light succession……7/7 an. my congrats… Link to comment
David-Wisse 5 Posted January 12, 2010 Beautiful Linda - always amazed at the varied colors ice can display. It looks like a dangerous place to explore - but tempting! Best, David Link to comment

GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted January 14, 2010 Fabulous image Linda.....so beautiful.......the miracle of water falling and freezing....never alike in any spot.....so totally When I look at this image for some reason I think of Dr. Zhivagio. One of the first great love stories.....in a movie, I had ever seen...the beautiful winter cinemitography....and Julia Christie was so beautiful..... The sweeping winter scenes amazed me......just as this image does....congrats Linda.....good capture. Guess I better get out there and get some winter pics done.......(will write-very busy with Mom). This week has been emotionally exhausting....and your image was just a great dose of medicine. Thank you for taking such a risk to take a shot to share with us that could have been quite dangerous........talk soon, Gail Link to comment
