Christal1664882414 0 Posted December 10, 2009 That great eye of yours! Such a natural framing you've found here, and the colors are remarkable. I suppose this is a by-product of that nasty blizzard you all have been having up there. The wind has worked its way here now.....BRRR!!! Great work, Linda! Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted December 11, 2009 I really like this, the surreal elements are a joy to behold and fuels the imagination immensely, reminds me of the conquered "Ice Queen" in "The Lion The Witch & The Wardrobe" Kind Regards Alf Link to comment

ldavidson 4 Posted December 11, 2009 Thank you for the kind comments You are very kind. The lake water froze very quickly, it seemed to be changing in front of my eyes in the short time I was there. I was almost frozen when I was shooting this. I started thinking about what it would be like to be frozen under the ice. At home with Photoshop I tried adding several portrait images. This one seemed to work the best for me. It is from a peice of digital art that I built in Photoshop several years ago called A Visitation by the Angel of Peace. She is holding a dead and bleeding white dove. I used her face and one wing. You can see a bit of the crushed wing and feathers on the lower left. That image is still in my portfolio if you want to see the original angel. Best wishes, Linda Link to comment

jeffl7 0 Posted December 11, 2009 This reminds me of the Lady of the Lake of Arthurian legend. A presence beneath the surface. I suppose there's always a presence beneath every surface. Great work. Link to comment

GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted December 17, 2009 This comp is as fascinating as it is creative....goes to show you, we should hang onto images that sometimes we are not quite sure 'what to do with'.....your combination of your 'angel' and the frozen ice has rendered a very unique image..congrats Linda...just lovely! pnital 36 Posted January 4, 2010 It is a well executed idea, the last result is what we ,your viewers see, and it is convincing, so your work has meaning and presence. It shows the cold outside that creates a nice frame for her sad look, very nice PP. My wishes for a good creative 2010. Link to comment
