jpo3136b 0 Posted November 20, 2009 Her eyes are closed, but she doesn't have a body position that says, "tired," to me. I'd scrap the title. Those words aren't that important. It's a good photo. One of the strongest aspects I see in it are the colors and the textures. The orange on the wall, the bluish of the ground; the neutral brown-gray in between; all good. I like the diagonal at the bottom of the frame, and the shadow near the feet. I also liked the shadows and the light between the figure's torso, cast near the wall she's leaning up against. Good photo. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 20, 2009 too bad the background isnt a deeper red would make a good contrast in the photo good shot Link to comment

giuseppe_pasquali 0 Posted November 21, 2009 John, thanks for your comment. I accept gladly your invitation to change the title. Walls in Rome have peculiar colors and textures that I really am fond of. Thanks to all for the time you spend on my works, ciao, Giuseppe Link to comment
hossein 0 Posted November 21, 2009 colors are in a wonderful harmony and she has a beautiful style. her closed eyes give a special serenity to the photo. it seems she's dreaming about ages and her soul is passing through history. i like it a lot Link to comment
vetterhome1 0 Posted November 21, 2009 It works - also the corner at the right is well positioned. The pose and the relaxed face: I am prepared for that what will come - now a break to relax and concentrate.. BR Joerg Link to comment

3m 0 Posted November 25, 2009 I like this picture very much! The cross legged pose ( & one of a short pause to 'take in the day', I believe :) looks very natural; and her figure contrasts rather nicely against the beautiful orange texture of the wall. It's quite beautiful in it's simplicity! Regards, Marjolein Link to comment
mcclure 0 Posted November 25, 2009 I had to come back to this image several times before crafting a comment. The image is remarkably deceptive for me. On the one hand, you have captured a woman lost in thought and possibly brooding about a concern. She isn't resting against the wall but leaning on it with one shoulder in a fairly rigid way. On the other hand, the legs strike me as a fashion statement and point to her center of balance. The piece of tape above her head finishes the arc of her body and is positioned to visually center the scene. Such a small element yet without it the image would not have been so balanced for me. I love the color, angle, and the contrast. Its quite a remarkable image. Did you pose her or discover the scene? Link to comment
giuseppe_pasquali 0 Posted November 27, 2009 and for all the comments. John, This lady caught my attention for her pose: both elegant and relaxed. The photo was caught in a hurry: it's nor staged or posed. The small piece of tape is one of those small presents that Gods of Photography so gently pose in front of our eyes. Thanks for your attention and time, ciao, Giuseppe Link to comment
