pnital 36 Posted November 3, 2009 She is a very colorful portrait vs. the band manager....;-)). It is again a good portrait, very good skin tones, well lighted and executed ,Did you take some photos of the band in action? will add to the portraits of both... Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 5, 2009 Delicate, soft, lovely capture. Her eyes are radiant, full, deep. Beautiful handling of the skin and the colors of her dress. The focus of the background works to suggest movement and energy and the lovely ribbon in her hair tops it all off. That wisp of hair across her face adds personality and humanity to the portrait. michaellinder 16,613 Posted November 7, 2009 This is a very effective portrait. The subject has an incredibly sweet face, with hauntingly beautiful eyes. I too am impressed by how you addressed her skin tone and the colors of her clothing. Most impressive . . . michael Link to comment
bjcarlton 0 Posted November 7, 2009 No one ever says nice stuff like that about my photos. I'm beginning to think there's a pro-Fresno bias here in PNet. Link to comment
laurent_jaussi 0 Posted November 8, 2009 it feels fresh and straightforward and that's what I like most in this portrait David, i.e the simplicity makes it for me... Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted November 8, 2009 All I can say is that one of your pnet friends blasted me for making a comment when I followed your lead to his image. That taught me something. You might be hanging with the wrong crowd. Of course you could be a little more prolific. Or, you could come to Fresno, where there is beauty everywhere. Take those pics back to SD and you will be the envy of the town. ☺☻♂ Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted November 8, 2009 Well, that fresh and straight forward I think is due to the young lady. It's fun to see these kids doing their thing. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted November 8, 2009 I almost got into the area of your special interest on this one. The young lady is a baton twirler in a high school band. I wonder if you do that stuff over there???? Thanks for the view. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted November 8, 2009 Thanks. Not much tricky here. Straight forward, and without any particular meaning beneath the surface. Thanks for your thoughts. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted November 8, 2009 Thanks for your appreciation. It would be hard to go wrong with such a lovely subject. Link to comment

pnital 36 Posted November 10, 2009 To answer your question, No, I did not see it here( maybe army bands, but I'm not sure), but..... This can be a very different experience for you ...;-)) Link to comment
