Homage to Weston?

Barry, thank you for noticing. Actually, Weston is a favorite of mine, and the photo was meant to be a bit of a parody.

I'm trying to figure out which one is the green pepper.

Well, as luck would have it, by the time I got around to taking the photo, it was consumed and had found a place in the plumbing, to put it politely.

Interesting. What is the white swirl on the model? You noted the image is not manipulated. How was that effect achieved?

The white swirl was body paint. In my little perverted mind, I was trying to replicate the lines of the toilet. It's all plumbing you know. It was meant as a bit of a parody of Weston, since, as you know, he used the toilet and the nudes in his photos. He just never put them together. I even tried this including a nautilus, but didn't like the result. This is full frame and was shot just as you see it. thus the head was deliberately not included, and I had the title in my mind when I took it. It is my favorite black and white shot, but has met with mediocre acceptance on pn. Such is life. Thanks for stopping by and giving it a look.

Arrgh! I hadn't even thought of the significance of the missing human head (on the right) in relation to the title. Very clever.

 

As to the lukewarm reception this image has received, try doing more bug macros or bird heads. They're far more artistic (and creative, of course) and will be much more enthusiastically received here on PN!

Boy are we in agreement on that. Or, if I had posed the model masturbating.... As sharp a wit as you are, I am a little shocked that you missed the title. Thanks for your comments. Now quit wasting your time on my crap and get to work posting some of your own excellent stuff.
